Kimmy Schmidt and Why You should Watch

Fans of 30 Rock gather, for there is a new kin... Queen in town when it comes to the fast paced, deliciously witty comedy we've come to expect from Tina Fey. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has just kicked off it's third season and it's not showing any signs of slowing down.

For those of you who have somehow missed this Netflix gem, here's a quick run down. (Minor early Spoilers?) When we first meet Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) we come to learn that she has been kidnapped by a cultist (Jon Hamm) and held underground in a bunker with several other women for years until, one day, they are finally rescued by the police. With a severe shortage on social and life skills these newly freed women are thrust into the world and thus begins a whole new journey for each of them. Within the first few episodes we're introduced to what will become the core cast members for most of the series. Titus Andromedon (Tituss Burgess) is basically my favorite character and a pretty strong fan favorite for most. He's a walking quip factory full of glam, sexuality, and awkward life lessons. He also somehow manages to be great support as well as someone who is constantly in need of advice from Kimmy.

Basically this show is hilarious and as I mentioned before it hits all the same notes as 30 Rock and is along the same vain as Strangers With Candy, Master of None, and Grace and Frankie (Yes I know those are all Netflix shows but they're on a winning streak with comedies so let it ride.) So If you're home for the three day weekend or just looking for a new show to binge, check this out.
