Everything You Need To Know About The MCU (Leading Up To Infinity War) In Chronological Order
With the recent release of the Avengers: Infinity War trailer and the rapidly approaching release date of the film itself, we thought it might be helpful to organize the Marvel movies that have led up to this ultimate battle, in chronological order. Now it's important to note that Marvel has expanded it's cinematic universe beyond the big screen and many Infinity War details have been implemented in their Netflix shows, a few animated series, and some DVD extras as well. For simplicity's sake, this list will be ignoring all that extra stuff and focusing on the movies themselves. Even Marvel has addressed the confusion by releasing this handy, illustrated timeline.
Captain America, The 1st Avenger (2011) -
Captain America is the first Avenger... if you couldn't tell. This movie introduces us to Hydra, Shield and Chris Evans' sweet abs.
Iron Man (2008) -
The movie that started it all. Robert Downey Junior becomes Iron Man and meets Nick Fury to talk about the Avenger Innitiative.
Iron Man 2 (2010) -
Ummm.... Mickey Rourke has whips. Also the first appearance of Black Widow in the MCU
The Incredible Hulk (2008) -
The better Hulk movie minus Mark Ruffalo.
Thor (2011) -
The first Thor movie gives us the God of thunder himself, introduces us to Asgard amd Loki and lays the real ground work for the first Avenger movie.
The Avengers (2012) -
Loki uses an infinity stone to attack a big city with a bunch of putty monsters and all the Marvel friends get together for a party.
