Rockstar has finally given us a release date for Red Dead Redemption 2. The game was originally set for a spring 2018 release but it's been pushed back to October 26th, 2018.

They had this to say about the pushback: “We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay,” Rockstar said in a post on its website. “While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish. We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. ... We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.”

While many gamers jump immediately to complaining about video game delays, there are often good reasons for these push backs and we support them. When projects are rushed, or not developed fully, we get dumpster fires like Mass Effect Andromeda. When such a beloved franchise (like Red Dead) is on the line, we say PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME. We would rather wait a year for a great game than rush to play some mediocre trash. Rockstar was gracious enough to give us some new screen shots in the mean time so take a look at those!
