Welcome To Night Vale Has a Book Coming Out... and It Devours
If you're not familiar already, Welcome to Night Vale is one of my favorite podcasts. It's basically a fictitious radio show that delivers "Twice-monthly community updates for the small desert town of Night Vale, featuring local weather, news, announcements from the Sheriff's Secret Police, mysterious lights in the night sky, dark hooded figures with unknowable powers, and cultural events. Turn on your radio and hide." The show stars Cecil Gershwin Palmer who is the radio host and main character and is voiced by Cecil Baldwin. Secondary characters, like Carlos voiced by Dylan Marron, have various voice actors throughout the show. One of my favorite parts about the series is the weather report. This is usually a time where they actually feature music instead rain and snow predictions. I've found some really cool bands this way. The two creators of Night Vale, Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor, recently announced that they will be releasing a new novel called It Devours! This will be the second Night Vale novel, the first being "Welcome to Night Vale" in 2015. Here is the basic book summary straight from their website:
