Watchmen will Watch Again, From a Small Screen Near You

Two years ago HBO was in talks with Zack Snyder on a supposed Watchmen series, however no word ever surfaced on what it would be about exactly or when it might come out. There's now been word that showrunner Damon Lindelof of the Leftovers is in talks to helm the adaption for what could be a new great opportunity for D.C. Comics as their films of late, besides Wonder Woman, haven't been met with the best reception.

No mention still on the direction of the show but with the semi-recent "Before Watchmen" comic series it could be an on screen version of that or perhaps a totally new take on the original series. In an episodic format there would be a lot more room to give depth to characters and story and given the graphic nature, HBO should be a perfect fit. Let's hope we don't have to wait another two years to find out more.
