The end of the PS3
Sony recently announced they have ceased productions on the Playstation 3. Now that we have the Playstation 4 and the Playstation 4 Pro this doesn't seem like a big deal. However, it marks the end of a system that advanced gaming forward light years from the Playstation 2 and original Xbox.
I do have to mention the Xbox 360 who will always be paired with the Playstation 3. The 360 also advanced gaming in a similar way, but if you've read my previous game system article, you'll know my frustrations with the Xbox 360. The PS3 was a defining era in my gaming history.
With such all time great releases, it's hard not to look back fondly on the PS3. With releases such as; The Last of Us, Grand Theft Auto V, Heavy Rain, the Uncharted Series, Red Dead Redemption, and many many more influential games it's hard not to "pour one out" for the Playstation 3. A system that came out my junior year of high school and was my primary system for nearly 7 years this system got me through some of the highest and lowest points of my life.
